TRANGIA: A Century Of Adventure (1925-2025)
The Story
Trangia’s journey began in 1925 producing household pots before shifting to outdoor products to meet the demand for camping equipment. Over the decades, generations of scouts, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts have relied on Trangia stoves to fuel their adventures. A century later, the tradition lives on in Northern Sweden, with the fourth generation of the Jonsson family still crafting these iconic cooksets.
It all started in 1926 with a groundbreaking idea: a cooking set where every part fit snugly into a single pot. This “Trangia Principle” birthed the No. 25 stove—a compact system with a burner, pots, and a windshield. Not long after, the No. 27 cookset followed, perfect for solo adventurers.
While the classic design remains timeless, modern innovations have made Trangia stoves lighter and more durable. Ultralight aluminum, Hard-anodized aluminum, and Duossal materials ensure durability without compromising performance. The heart of every set is the spirit burner, designed for alcohol fuel. For added versatility, the new Storm gas burner allows adventurers to cook with even greater ease in challenging conditions.
A Tribute in Colour
To honour this 100-year journey, Trangia introduces a limited-edition Color Collection—each hue a symbol of endurance, adventure, and connection to nature.
The CLOUDBERRY
Inspired by the rare, golden-orange berries found in Trångsviken’s marshlands, this stove embodies the treasures waiting to be discovered in the wild.
The NORTHERN PINE
Like the resilient trees that thrive in Sweden’s harsh climates, the Northern Pine stove symbolizes strength and adaptability—qualities every adventurer needs.
The POWER PINK
Born from a heartwarming story: an 8-year-old girl’s wish for a glittery pink stove captured hearts around the world. This vibrant pink stove celebrates the power of community and the spirit of Trangia’s customers.
Mess Tin Anniversary Edition
The Mess Tin has been part of Trangia’s product range since 1926. While it was originally round in shape, the rectangular design of today was introduced in 1950 to fit hot cupboards for industrial workers’ lunches. The Anniversary Edition features a special printed lid, an insert cover, and a protective EVA case—blending nostalgia with practicality.
A Legacy That Lasts
As the team at Trangia proudly says, “A Trangia lasts a lifetime—or three.” With its enduring design, commitment to sustainability, and access to spare parts, Trangia’s products are built to stand the test of time.
