2022 marks 90 years of knife making by Helle in Holmedal, Norway. They are celebrating by launching more models than ever seen before.

Helle’s folding knives offer traditional Scandinavian knife quality and aesthetics in a foldable format. This year, Helle is adding more folding knives with the same handcrafted quality.

Here is a sneak peek at the first release coming in April.

The new RAUD (Red) collection combines the durability and usability of the classic Scandinavian work knives – an important part of Helle history.

The RAUD S combines light weight with sturdy construction and a 2.7mm thick blade. Small enough for pocket carry, but big enough for real work. For normal hands, the deep oiled, red birch handle is just big enough for a three-finger grip.

The RAUD M is slightly bigger than the S version, but still small enough for a pocket carry. For most hands the handle will fit a four-finger grip. This version also comes with a detachable clip for a secure carry.

Later this spring, the NIPA will be added making the folding knives category a family of 5.

The NIPA continues to build on the classic EDC folding knife named KLETTEN. It is a slightly bigger version with a hand sanded curly birch wooden handle that is made to be used. With a well-proportioned handle, it will be a comfortable knife to wear around camp or on daily adventures.
